LAKE OZARK, MO -- While spas have gained popularity as a retreat from the chaos of everyday life, a Lake Ozark
resort spa will soon help guests discover how their everyday living space can become a haven of its own. Spa Shiki
at the Lodge of Four Seasons in Lake Ozark will host a Wellness Weekend, "Developing a Spa Environment at
Home," on September 6-8. The 10,000 sq. ft. resort spa, one of the largest in the Midwest, will educate guests
on how to bring spa peace and tranquility into their everyday lives through the influence of their surroundings.
Seminars planned for the weekend include How to Spa at Home, Aromatherapy, and Healthy Cooking. In addition, design
experts from Embellishments Décor & Design in Osage Beach will lead a class on Interior Design for a
Spa Environment at Home, and faux finishing artisan Ashley Garrett from AG Faux Finishing & Design in Columbia
will educate guests on how to use walls as a background that influences each room's atmosphere. Guests will also
have the opportunity to experience a Pilates mat class at Spa Shiki's Pilates Studio-scheduled to open in August
2002 and the only one of its kind at a resort spa in the Midwest.
Spa Shiki's Wellness Weekend package includes two nights lodging (Friday and Saturday nights) and admittance into
all classes. The cost for the September event is $145.00 per person, plus tax and service, for double occupancy.
Local participants may take part in the seminars for $50 per person, without receiving lodging. For an additional
cost, guests may take part in a lake cruise aboard the Tropic Isle on Sunday afternoon. For more information,
