Press Release: Fairfield Resorts
August 9, 2002
ORLANDO, FL -- Fairfield Resorts, Inc., the largest vacation ownership company in the world with more than 450,000
owners, yesterday announced that Jeff Myers has been appointed regional vice president of sales for Fairfield locations
in Orlando, Daytona Beach and Fort Lauderdale.
A fourteen-year industry veteran, Myers most recently served as vice president of sales for Fairfield Resorts in
Destin, Fla., and had previously served at Fairfield Williamsburg as both sales manager and director of sales.
He was named Fairfield's Rookie of the Year in 1991, and earned the American Resort Development Association (ARDA)
top award for sales management in 1996.
"Jeff's contributions to Fairfield go far beyond his own success in selling our product," said Mike Flaskey,
senior vice president of operations at Fairfield Resorts. "Jeff is passionate about helping others succeed.
He leads by example, encourages teamwork at all levels, and values the efforts of his employees. We're pleased
that Jeff will now have an even greater impact on our organization in this new role."
Fairfield recently announced plans to nearly double its presence in the Orlando-area with the construction of Fairfield
Orlando at Bonnet Creek, a 744-unit master-planned resort located just west of Interstate 4 and accessible via
Buena Vista Drive. The company anticipates that the new resort will draw up to 55,000 families annually. Fairfield
also recently began construction on a 25-story second beachfront tower at its newly opened Daytona location, Fairfield
Daytona Beach at Ocean Walk.
"There couldn't be a better time to be with Fairfield, particularly in a region with such aggressive growth
plans," said Myers. "I look forward to helping ensure a positive, uplifting and rewarding work environment
for our employees. Our company has always been a place where good people can achieve great things, and I'm excited
to play a part in our continued success."
