REDMOND, WA. - -- Trendwest Resorts announces the appointment of Jacqueline A. Maartense to the position of Marketing Vice President. Ms. Maartense brings a highly regarded track record of building customer-driven sales and marketing organizations to Trendwest. In this key role, she will leverage best practices from the consumer software business to create new opportunities for customer acquisition in the vacation ownership industry.

During her eight-year tenure with Intuit, Inc., Ms. Maartense established enduring customer insight processes and acquisition strategies to propel Quicken to undisputed worldwide market leadership in the personal finance software category. Ms. Maartense established international market leadership for Quicken and QuickBooks in Latin America, Europe, Australia, and Canada. She also championed Intuit's direct online selling activities, delivering 300% annual growth in online sales revenues.
Prior to Intuit, Ms. Maartense received an MBA from Harvard University, and worked in consumer brand marketing at Gillette Canada and Clairol Canada.
