Press Release: John Q. Hammons Hotels, Inc.
September 26, 2002
OKLAHOMA CITY & SPRINGFIELD, MO -- John Q. Hammons Hotels, Inc. (AMEX:JQH) proudly announces that the Renaissance
Oklahoma City Convention Center Hotel recently received a four diamond rating from the American Automotive Association
(AAA). Located in downtown Oklahoma City, the luxurious, 15-story property is owned and managed by John Q. Hammons
Hotels, the nation's leading independent builder, developer, owner and manager of upscale, full-service hotels,
resorts and suites.
The four diamond distinction is given to properties that are upscale in all areas with accommodations that are
progressively more refined and stylish. Recognized properties also offer an extensive array of amenities and provide
a high degree of hospitality, service and attention to detail. The AAA diamond ratings are assigned to an exclusive
group of properties that successfully complete a thorough evaluation process. The ratings, which range from one
diamond to the exceptional five diamond, represent a combination of overall quality, range of facilities and level
of services offered by a property. The size, age and overall appeal of an establishment, as well as regional architectural
style and design are considered when assigning a diamond rating.
"The AAA four diamond award is widely recognized as a measure of excellence among travelers and the hotel
industry alike," said John Pasley, general manager of the Renaissance Oklahoma City Convention Center Hotel.
"At the Renaissance Oklahoma City Convention Center Hotel, we strive for excellence and superiority in every
way. Receiving the distinction as a four diamond hotel is truly an honor and proof that our dedication to quality
is apparent in all that we do."
