Ian Schrager Hotels Announces Appointment Of VP for European Acquisitions and Development

NEW YORK, NY -- Ian Schrager Hotels announced yesterday the appointment of Francesca Galante to the new position of Vice President of European Acquisitions and Business Development.

Ms. Galante, 26, was hired from European based private equity fund Soros Real Estate Partners. Prior to that, she worked in investment banking at Merrill Lynch International in London.

In her new position, she will report to Ian Schrager, Chairman and CEO of Ian Schrager Hotels.

"This is our commitment to aggressive expansion of our business in Europe," Mr. Schrager said. "Francesca will be in charge of acquiring properties and also marketing our management expertise to existing hotels."

Ms. Galante is an honors graduate of the Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Paris and Universite Paris - Dauphine.

Ian Schrager Hotels owns and operates Hudson, Paramount, Morgans and Royalton in New York, Delano in Miami Beach, Mondrian in Los Angeles, Clift in San Francisco, and St. Martins Lane and Sanderson in London. Ian Schrager Hotels manages the Shore Club in Miami Beach.

The company is currently in the process of developing several more properties in New York City, Santa Barbara's Miramar, and various properties throughout Europe.
