NEC America to Introduce GuestConnect Suite of Hospitality Applications At HITEC 2002

NEC's Latest Family of Solutions to Deliver Enhanced Guest Services and Streamline Operations

IRVING, TX -- NEC America, Inc. (NEC) has announced that it will unveil GuestConnect(TM), a suite of telecommunications applications developed specifically for the hospitality industry, at HITEC 2002, scheduled for June 25-June 27 at McCormick Place in Chicago. NEC will occupy booth #1024 at the show.

Already highly regarded for its robust and reliable array of voice and data communications products, NEC is launching GuestConnect(TM) at a critical time for property managers. Many are reducing overhead and looking to leverage telecommunications as a way to help increase guest satisfaction.

• Hospitality Attendant System -- This application automates a variety of call handling tasks and provides easy access to guest and administrative directories, improved response time to callers, and increased access to staff via paging and messaging.
• Security Applications -- These enhance existing on-site security responsiveness, manage on-site 911 calls and enable simultaneous notification of up to 100 staffers, either individually or through pre-arranged work groups.
• Phone Applications -- These enable properties to eliminate hard-copy directories, improve call handling and allow increased staff mobility.
• Wireless Applications -- Utilize the NEC Wired for Wireless® in-building mobility solution to keep staff mobile and in touch with information and people.
• Service Management Applications -- Property managers can gain greater control over telephony related costs, customize telephone services to match a multi-shift work environment, and better manage access to the telephony network.
