WASHINGTON, DC -- Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE:MAR) is scheduled to open the 100-room Fairfield Inn &
Suites by Marriott in Cherokee, N.C., this August. Located at 568 Painttown Road (US-19), the Fairfield Inn &
Suites Cherokee will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned and managed by Hospitality Group Management, Inc. of
Hickory, N.C.
Situated across from Harris Cherokee Casino, the property offers guests convenient access to Blue Ridge Parkway,
Great Smokies Mountain National Park, and Indian Village. Rates begin at $100 per night.
An innovative new offering from Fairfield Inn by Marriott, the new Fairfield Inn & Suites Cherokee features
a variety of enhancements to guest rooms and public areas, as well as the addition of distinctively designed suites.
The signature "king suite" offers separate living and sleeping areas, pantry with coffee maker, mini-refrigerator
and microwave, and a dividing wall with a 32-inch recessed television and state-of-the-art compact disc stereo
system.
