NEW YORK, NY -- Ian Schrager Hotels announced yesterday that it had entered into an agreement to manage the prestigious
Shore Club, a 331-room luxury hotel in Miami Beach.
The agreement, which is effective immediately, marks the entry of Ian Schrager Hotels into stand-alone hotel management.
Previously, the firm has managed only its own hotels, such as the Delano in Miami Beach.
"The Shore Club is one of Miami Beach's top hotels, and partnering with us will add a level of service that
the clientele will appreciate," said Ian Schrager, chairman and CEO of Ian Schrager Hotels, who has assumed
a partnership position in the Shore Club.
Mr. Schrager added that Ian Schrager Hotels will seek out additional opportunities to manage and market hotels,
as well as continuing its strategy of developing, owning and operating its own hotels.
Ian Schrager Hotels owns and operates Hudson, Paramount, Morgans and Royalton in New York, Delano in Miami Beach,
Mondrian in Los Angeles, Clift in San Francisco, and St. Martins Lane and Sanderson in London. The company is currently
in the process of developing several more properties in New York City, Santa Barbara's Miramar, a hotel, apartment
and urban entertainment complex in South America, and various properties throughout Europe.
