Press Release: Blue Star Jets
December 4, 2002
NEW YORK, NY -- Blue Star Jets announced their partnership with the Atlantis, Paradise Island and Ocean Club resorts
in The Bahamas.
According to the agreement, they been designated the exclusive private air travel partner for both properties.
Blue Star Jets will have the first right of refusal on all private aircraft business generated by the resorts.
Blue Star Jets, founded in March 2001, is an innovative company offering a variety of unique private jet transportation
services. Blue Star Jets offers enormous flexibility to its customers. By not purchasing a fractional ownership
of one specific aircraft, Blue Star Jets' customers can select a plane based on their travel needs (i.e., long
or short haul, number of passengers, etc.) Blue Star Jets anticipates their customers needs and has the resources
to get them the specific aircraft they need every time.
Furthermore, Blue Star Jets has an exceptional sky program whereby a client can purchase a $50,000, $100,000, $250,000
or $500,000 card for use towards jet services. There are no acquisition costs or maintenance or membership fees
and money deposited in a customers' individual travel account earns 6% interest in travel dollars each year. One
sky program card can even be used by several authorized users, i.e. a company planning a board meeting may fly
in several board members from different locations across the country on different planes at the same time.
The Ocean Club, once the exclusive private estate of Huntington Hartford II, has emerged after a recent $100 million
renaissance, as one of the most elegant luxury resorts in the Americas.
Intimate and tranquil, placing the highest priority on pampering and personalized attentiveness, the resort offers
106 new or newly renovated accommodations, including, beachfront suites and rooms and garden cottages in a gracious
colonial Bahamian style, with round-the-clock butler service and little luxurious touches like champagne and strawberries
every afternoon and icy sorbet served on the beach. As Ocean Club's signature restaurant, world-renowned chef Jean-Georges
Vongerichten has created the ultra-chic Dune, featuring interior design by Christian Liagre. The legendary Courtyard
Terrace continues to win accolades as the most romantic restaurant in The Bahamas. The sumptuous Ocean Club Spa
features a fusion of ancient Asian holistic philosophies with uniquely Bahamian hospitality and serene, lush surroundings
highlighted by private spa villas for two. Rounding out a full complement of recreational options are the championship
18-hole Ocean Club Golf Course designed by Tom Weiskopf, a tennis club, a freshwater pool overlooking the resort's
renowned Versailles-inspired gardens and an extensive menu of water sports.
