Press Release: Lanyon
August 15, 2002
DALLAS, TX -- Lanyon (www.Lanyon.com ) announced yesterday that rollout of
PropertyVault(TM) and its enterprise content management suite of products continues to rapidly grow based on increasing
hotel client and distribution channel relationships as well as the number of content publishing tools licensed.
Dallas-based Lanyon is a leading provider of marketing distribution technologies to the hotel industry and their
partners.
"We are pleased to announce that over ten new hotel companies joined our RFPpublisher(TM) community this season,
including Utell, Concorde, Sol Melia, and Homestead," stated Todd E. Tyler, Lanyon's Chief Executive Officer.
"In addition," continued Tyler, "we are pleased to see that our clients are licensing multiple products,
like RatePublisher(TM) and ChannelPublisher(TM), to enhance and accelerate their enterprise content management
and distribution processes."
With PropertyVault(TM), a hotel company captures all the key content, including rates, in one database. From that
single repository, a hotel company can extract and deliver rich, multimedia, consistent, high-quality marketing
content to their agency, corporate, GDS, and Internet distribution partners in formats that are easily processed
by the channels. Once the content resides in PropertyVault(TM), the publishing tools, RFPpublisher(TM), RatePublisher(TM),
HODpublisher(TM), ChannelPublisher(TM), and DRSpublisher(TM) repurpose and deliver the information according to
the specific requirements of each distribution channel, including GDS, Internet sites, publications, and often
a hotel company's CRS. Since Lanyon hosts PropertyVault, implementation is fast - the only requirements for using
PropertyVault are access to the Internet and a compatible browser.
"With all the flexibility that is built into PropertyVault(TM)," added Tyler, "we invest time with
each client to map their desired business processes, focusing on what they want to achieve instead of what legacy
systems and single-purpose applications allowed them to do. Our hotel clients decide what their users can see and
amend; they establish data review and approval steps at the property, regional, and central levels; and, they are
able to amend these procedures as business conditions change. From our perspective, this is how technology should
respond to business."
To accommodate the growth and flexibility required by its clients, Lanyon constantly enhances and fine-tunes its
infrastructure. In addition to delivering advanced content management tools throughout the year, Lanyon recently
deployed enhanced facilities for balancing the numbers of users among its server farm, resulting in faster delivery
of data to system users.
Currently, over 60 hotel companies worldwide use Lanyon's products.
