LOS ANGELES, CA -- Montage Laguna Beach Colony has appointed Sheila Donnelly & Associates (SDA) as their new
public relations agency of record. SDA will be handling publicity and promotions for the much-anticipated Southern
California resort.
The resort is located along the impressive Pacific coastline in Laguna Beach, California. The oceanfront, 30-acre
luxury resort hotel will have 260 guestrooms, including 50 executive suites, one Presidential Suite and four beachfront
bungalows, each with a collection of 52 guestrooms. Montage Laguna Beach Colony will open the first quarter of
2003.
Laguna Beach LLC, a partnership between the Montage Hotel Group, Athens Group and undisclosed private investors,
purchased the 30-acre master-planned resort and residential project from Marriott International in June 2002.
The newly-formed Montage Hotel Group will operate the five star resort. Athens Group, based in Phoenix, Arizona
and the original developer of the project, will continue to oversee the residential real estate development. Laguna
Beach LLC is the first collaboration between one of the country's most accomplished hotel operators, Alan Fuerstman,
and one of the resort industry's foremost developers, Kim Richards.
