Friedman, Billings, Ramsey to Host 9th Annual Investor Conference in New York, Dec. 3-4; Focus on Financial Services, Real Estate and Energy

ARLINGTON, VA -- Friedman, Billings, Ramsey Group, Inc. (NYSE: FBR) yesterday announced that it will host its 9th Annual Investor Conference in midtown Manhattan December 3-4. Presenters include over 120 leading companies in financial services (banks, thrifts, commercial and consumer finance, insurance and financial technology); real estate (mortgage REITs, equity REITs and real estate operating companies); and energy (exploration & production, coal refiners and integrated oils). The conference will be held at the Millennium Hotel Broadway located at 145 West 44th St.

During 2002, FBR has raised over $3.6 billion thru primary, secondary and private offerings for various firms in the financial services, real estate and energy sectors.

Eight simultaneous sessions will run from 8:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on December 3 with seven simultaneous sessions being conducted from 8:10 a.m. to 1:10 p.m. on December 4. The Honorable William S. Cohen, former U.S. Secretary of Defense, will deliver the December 3 keynote luncheon address entitled "The Perils and Promises of the New World."
