LAS VEGAS, NV -- Station Casinos, Inc. (NYSE: STN; ``Station'' or the ``Company'') commented Friday on the U.S.
Department of Interior's decision to issue a notice of their intention to place land in trust for gaming purposes
for the United Auburn Indian Community (the ``UAIC'') in the Sacramento, California area. On October 12, 1999,
the Company announced that it had entered into a Development Services Agreement and a Management Agreement with
the UAIC.
``We are very pleased that the U.S. Department of Interior has decided to take the Athens Road parcel into trust
for the Auburn Indian Tribe to use for gaming purposes,'' said Glenn Christenson, executive vice president and
chief financial officer, Station Casinos, Inc. ``We view this decision as an important step forward in the development
of a state-of-the-art gaming and entertainment facility in the Sacramento, California area.''
