NEWTON, MA -- Hospitality Properties Trust (NYSE: HPT) announced that it has scheduled its 2002 Annual Meeting
of Shareholders for Tuesday, May 7, 2002. The record date for determination of Shareholders entitled to vote at
the meeting has been set at the close of business on March 20, 2002.
HPT is a hotel real estate investment trust headquartered in Newton, Massachusetts. HPT has investments and commitments
of approximately $2.6 billion in 230 hotels in 37 states.
