BETHESDA, MD -- Host Marriott Corporation (NYSE: HMT) yesterday announced that on Tuesday, August 13, 2002, its
President and Chief Executive Officer, Christopher J. Nassetta, and its Executive Vice President and Chief Financial
Officer, Robert E. Parsons, submitted their required certifications with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission
attesting to the accuracy of the Company's filings with the SEC.
Host Marriott also filed a report on Form 8-K announcing the execution and submission to the SEC of such sworn
statements and including under Item 9, a copy of each certification.
Host Marriott is a Fortune 500 lodging real estate company that currently owns or holds controlling interests in
