CHICAGO, IL -- Peterson Hospitality Development, Inc. (PHD) announced yesterday a joint venture agreement with
Pro Power Picks of Honolulu, Hawaii. Under the terms of the arrangement, PHD is providing funding to expand promotion
and increase market share of Pro Power Picks, which recently signed a letter of intent to merge with Concierge
Technologies Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: CNCG - news).
Lanny Peterson, of Peterson Hospitality Development, said, ``We are pleased to be a part of the Pro Power Picks
program. They have shown steady growth in the areas of market share, advertising revenues, and profitability since
their inception in 1997.
``The additional funding will be used to increase marketing efforts, expand sports coverage, and future product
development.''
Ken Lamkin, director of operations, said, ``Peterson Hospitality Development represents a favorable alliance due
to their long term commitment to Pro Power Picks and their prior success.''
Lanny D. Peterson has spent the past nineteen years in lodging development. Mr. Peterson formed a partnership with
Ronald J. Rivett, Co-founder, Super 8 Motels, Inc., in 1983 to build, own, and operate Super 8 Motel franchises.
The focus was on the state of Illinois where the partnership of Peterson-Rivett Development Company was successful
in the completion of ten projects and one addition.
Mr. Peterson has been the active operating partner in the development and management of the Peterson-Rivett properties
since inception of the company. Mr. Peterson sold his interest in the developments to his partner in 1995.
A current Peterson Partnership, Peterson-Tweeten Development, has three hotels in Chicago's north suburban Lake
County, as well as, two hotels in Chicago's west suburban DuPage County. The Lake County properties include a 120-unit
Hawthorne Suites in Vernon Hills, a 68-unit Country Inn and Suites and a 65-unit Comfort Suites in Gurnee. The
DuPage properties include a 128-unit AmeriSuites hotel in Elmhurst and a 128-unit AmeriSuites in Burr Ridge. In
addition, a 74-unit Country Inn and Suites was opened Chicago's far west suburban Kane County in October 2000.
